- Former governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olorogun David Edevbie has approached a Federal High Court, FHC, Abuja, over issues relating to governorship party primary in Delta State.
He filed a case and asked Court to grant injunctions against declared winner of the Guber primary and Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, and that he (Edevbie) should be substituted to replace Rt Hon Oborevwori.
According to Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, Esq, Executive Assistant to Governor Okowa, said the Court refused the application and asked that Hon Oborevwori and the other parties; PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, should be put on notice to thrash out the application on Tuesday, 22nd June, 2022.
This suit is similar to other suits brought by various persons seeking judicial short-cut to no avail.
The people have spoken and it is clear that Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, is their choice.
