Junior Aimufua Apologizes to Kwara United Fans for Missed Chances, Vows to Improve
Junior Aimufua has apologized to the lovers, fans, and supporters of Kwara United for his failure to convert clear-cut chances, not only in the match against Lobi Stars but also throughout the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Speaking to journalists on Sunday in Ilorin after receiving the Cyteck Man of the Match Award for his brace in the NPFL Matchday 35 encounter against Lobi Stars, Junior admitted his shortcomings and pledged to work harder.
“I sincerely apologize for my wastefulness in front of goal. This will be overcome through continuous training and hard work, and I promise to surmount these challenges,” Aimufua said.
He added that the issue is not about him alone but concerns the team as a whole, noting that the coaching crew has been doing their best to address it. “With the continuous efforts of our coaches, I am confident we will overcome this,” he assured.
The Cyteck Man of the Match Award, proudly sponsored by Engr. Ahmed Olaide, has been running for four consecutive seasons, recognizing outstanding performances in Kwara United matches.
Kwara United will now shift focus to their President Federation Cup quarterfinal clash against Akwa United on Saturday in Enugu, before returning to league action with a midweek Matchday 36 tie against Enyimba in Aba.
