*Showers encomiums on immediate past Governor Okowa
The Executive Assistant to the immediate past Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Dr. Emmanuel Mafiana has congratulated the newly sworn in Governor of Delta State , Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and his Deputy Sir Monday Onyeme on their successful inauguration Monday May 29, 2023 at Asaba the Delta State capital.
Dr. Mafiana while congratulating Rt. Hon. Oborevwori described the newly inaugurated Delta Governor as a noble man who has distinguished himself as Speaker of the Delta State Assembly who was able to give the Assembly a robust and articulate leadership that span for 6 years making him the longest serving Speaker of the Delta Assembly.
He appealed to all Deltans to rally behind the governor and extend all needed support toward the success of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori administration in the next four years, assuring that both the Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme will develop and sustain immediate past Governor Okowa legacies in advancing Delta .
Dr. Mafiana expressed delight for the peaceful transition and for the hardwork that brought Governor Oborevwori and his Deputy to serve Delta state, he is however highly optimistic that the duo will deliver their campaign promises beyond expectations.
The political appointee assured Governor Oborevwori of support to succeed in his administration, adding that his immediate constituency will always be for Rt. Hon. Oborevwori because his agenda is for advancing Delta, he as well tasked him on Development of the state irrespective of ethnic group or any part of the state for greater and more dividends of democracy.
Dr. Mafiana pointed out that the even development and legacies programmes and projects of former Governor Okowa speaks volume to the unity and peace enjoyed among all Deltans and residents of the state , he lauded the immediate past governor hoping that the new administration of Rt. Hon. Oborevwori will sustain and try to do more in distributing development to all Deltans.
