Air force and Police Special Taskforce clash in Delta community

Nigeria Air force 320 Forward Operation Base team mounting road block at Jeddo have clashed with the Nigeria Police Special Taskforce team in charge of anti vandals whose operation is a special anti vandals against crude oil theft and critical federal assets.

The crisis began Thursday January 11, 2024 when the police STF team allegedly impounded and arrested some suspected crude oil vandals from an area in the riverine part of Warri South LGA, Delta State as they were passing through Jeddo in Okpe LGA to their base inside Warri Refinery, the Air force personnel on road block allegedly stopped the police team wanting to cease the impounded load from the police STF which the police STF resisted to the fullest and the Air Force personnel allegedly broke the glass of the police van which sparked tension leading to sporadic gun shoots from both security agents at the spot.

At the spot where the incident occurred oil spill were seen on the side of the road by the BEDC injection substation in Jeddo thereby leading to more fears and worries by the residents of the area towards the activities of the NAF 320 forward operation base in Jeddo the Delta adjudged most peaceful community.
