Just In: Wind blow off NAF, Police CTU Bases Power supply cable to feeder transformer in Delta

**As BEDC shutdown Jeddo, Ughoton, Ugbokodo, Omadino other towns into darkness

Unexpected wind some days ago blow off the 33KVA power supply network supplying power to the Transformer of the 320 Forward Operation Base of the Nigeria Air force Quarters in Jeddo, Okpe LGA and that of Police Counter Terrorism Unit Base 5 as well as other users feeding from the transformer.

This newspaper can authoritatively report that the wind which caused the damage was noticed Friday by our source who was around the area Sunday March 24_ 2024.

Due go the pull off from the network the operational company, Benin Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC Warri Business District in charge of the routine power sharing in the area have jacked down the main control point without making any effort to fix the disconnected power line to feed back the NAF 320 Forward Operation Base and Police CTU transformer respectively.

According to findings BEDC have also taking advantage of the situation to sustain plunging of Jeddo, Ugbokodo, Ughoton, Omadino and Obodo into perpetual darkness as they not shown any concern of attempt to immediately fix the wire that the wind tactically removed from the network but not totally removed or damaged.

Residents from the affected communities and towns which cuts across Okpe Local Government and Warri South LGAs are calling on BEDC to live up to their responsibilities and as a matter of urgency to immediately go and fix back the affected transformer and restore general power supply along the network in the area.
