Nasarawa Amazons Commend Governor Sule, Chairperson Hajia Husaina For Their Support
Nasarawa Amazons Football Club of Lafia on Wednesday 24th April ended the Nigeria Women Football League regular season with a goalless draw and ended top with 27 pts to finish 1st in group A
The team alongside Confluence Queens and Heartland Queens picked the available ticket to this year’s NWFL Super Six with date and venue yet to be announced.
The Chairperson of the club Hajiya Husaina Suleiman Nagogo was fully on ground to cheer the team to victory.
While addressing the Lafia Landladies after the goalless draw played at the Edo state University Field uzaiure iyamu, Auchi which was the last away match of the regular season played against Confluence Queens, the Chairperson urged the girls to continue giving their best and promised the government is ready to improve on their welfare packages.
“I want you girls to continue to work hard to make our sports loving, purposeful and great Governor Engr A.A Sule and Nasarawa State proud, myself the Chairperson proud and other things are in progress on your improved welfare and salaries”
She appreciated the team with a token of three hundred thousand naira (#300.000) which she said was for drinks and she knows the government will do more if we go and bring the trophy back to Nasarawa state.
Nasarawa Amazons will battle the likes of Rivers Angels, Confluence Queens Edo Queens, Bayelsa Queens, and Heartland Queens in supe six or the 2023/2024 NWFL title.
