Wife of the minister in charge of Shalom Baptist Church, Ekpan, PST. Bright Opate, PST. Mrs Ebitimi Opate has charged young women to remain focused and stop comparing themselves to others in order not to land into shame.

Mrs. Opate gave the admonition Sunday July 17, 2022 at Shalom Baptist Church, off Pipeline Road, Ekpan Delta State, during this year’s 2022 Lydia Auxiliary (Lydia) Sunday, she noted that comprising oneself to another attracts temporary ego which doesn’t last because destinies differs.

Ministering on the topic: ‘When you serve God with all your heart’ with text taken from bible book of Acts 16:14 & 40, Matthew 25: 14-30, Nehemiah 8:10, explained that loving God will produce joy, peace and blessings of mind to those that follow God.

According to the woman of God, living a life of comparison brings down psychological pains, She urged young ladies of the Baptist congregation and all Nigerian ladies especially the unmarried to hear the word of God and abide to the advise for better future and better family.

While concluding her sermon, PST. Mrs. Ebitimi Opate, stressed that the Lydia Auxiliary is an organization in the Baptist Church for young single ladies from 17 years of age until they get married and that their watchword is derived from Acts 26:18a which says, “To open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light”.

The Lydia Auxiliary of Shalom Baptist Church expressed joy for the message received, describing it as timely, even as they assured of abiding to the teachings and admonitions of their Mama, Mrs. Ebitimi Opate.
