Plateau To Host Nigeria’s Football Veterans In Competitive Tournament
The Veterans Football Foundation 2024 North Central qualifiers in Jos, Plateau state, is set to bring together 7 teams from the North Central Zone, including Plateau, Kwara, Kogi, Benue, Niger, Nasarawa, and the FCT.
This one-day tournament will feature Nigerian football legends from Plateau all stars like Kadi Tijjani Zololo, Batura Sale, Sambo Choji, Isyaka Haliru, Thomas Okoja, and Sani Adamu (MON) among others.
The other team will see Dominic Iorfa, Nasiru Jibrin, Moses Kpako, Salisu Basira, Kelly Ayuba among others go toe to toe against the former.
The teams will arrive on Friday, May 10, 2024, and the draws will be held today at Ndakai Luxury Hotel, opposite St. Murumba College, Zaria Road, Jos by 6:00 pm.
The tournament will kick off on Saturday, May 11, 2024 which is tomorrow by 7:00 am at the Zaria Road Stadium, Jos.
The eventual winning team will represent the North Central Zone in the national tournament come August 2024.
According to the head of Sports program Unity FM Radio And TV, Jo’s, Attahiru Babayo, “it promises to be a spectacle as these once exciting footballers look to roll back the years”.
