Abia Warriors Sympathizes With Heartland FC Over The Passing Of Coach Christian Obi
Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia is saddened to learn about the passing of the Head Coach of Heartland Football Club of Owerri in a ghastly road accident yesterday, 23rd August 2024.
Heartland playing staff and officials where on their way to Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, to participate in the Tico/Select Pre-season Football Tournament when the heartbreaking incident occured.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of Abia Warriors. Football Club, Coach John Obuh, the Umuahia based club is deeply saddened to learn of the demise of Coach Christian Obi.
“We are deeply saddened to learn about the bus accident involving Heartland FC players and officials, and also shocked to learn that Coach Christian Obi has left us.
“Words are not enough to describe how we feel at this very moment. The news of his death has thrown us into mourning.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Heartland FC and the family of the departed, even as we wish those involved in the accident speedy recovery.
“May the soul of Coach Christian Obi rest in perfect peace.”
Abia Warriors also call on football fans and followers in the country to keep Heartland FC and the family of Coach Obi in their prayers.
