Sai Masu Gida Poised for Big Battles: Kano Pillars FC’s Ahmed Garba Yaro Yaro Confident Ahead of Rivers United Clash

Kano Pillars FC Chief Coach and club legend, Ahmed Garba Yaro Yaro, has expressed confidence in the team’s ability to triumph against some of the toughest opponents in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). Speaking after a recovery and fine-tuning training session ahead of their Matchday 15 away clash with Rivers United, Yaro Yaro assured fans that the team’s recent performances have shown their resilience and determination to excel.

The former Nigeria international highlighted that the Sai Masu Gida were particularly motivated following their impressive away victories performances against Bayelsa United, Rangers International, Bendel Insurance, and Lobi Stars. He noted that while their home fixture against Enyimba International was postponed to accommodate the latter’s CAF Confederation Cup commitments, Kano Pillars would have relished the opportunity to showcase their quality.

“Against Enyimba today, we could have proven the doubters wrong because we’ve done it several times this season, even on the road. Nevertheless, when the time comes, we’ll be ready,” Yaro Yaro stated confidently.

The coach emphasized that the team’s full focus is now on their weekend encounter against Rivers United in Port Harcourt. “We are leaving no stone unturned to ensure we come back with something positive,” he added.

The four-time NPFL champions are riding a wave of strong form, particularly in their away fixtures, where they have consistently found the back of the net. Yaro Yaro believes this momentum can be carried into their game against Rivers United.

He also lauded the collaborative effort among the technical crew, noting that they have been working diligently to maintain the team’s high standards.

Despite Technical Adviser Usman Abdallah’s recent absence due to illness, Yaro Yaro assured fans that the team has adhered strictly to Abdallah’s instructions and philosophy during training sessions.

Kano Pillars FC currently sits 6th on the NPFL table with 19 points from 13 matches. The midweek break, necessitated by Enyimba’s CAF engagement, provides an opportunity for the team to regroup and prepare thoroughly for their South-South trip to face Rivers United in Matchday 15.

As the Pride of Kano continue their campaign in the 2024/25 NPFL season, fans remain optimistic about their chances of maintaining their impressive form and climbing further up the league standings.
