Jawab Sports Academy Elevates Talent Development with Commissioning of New Players’ Hostel

Jawab Sports Academy, one of the fastest-growing football academies in Niger State, officially commissioned its players’ hostel on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in Kwamba, Suleja. The landmark event attracted top sports administrators, football federation officials at various levels, coaching associations from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Niger State, as well as community leaders and traditional rulers.

Among the distinguished guests were Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, Chairman of the Niger State Football Association (NSFA), and his deputy, Alhaji Yabaji Baba. Also in attendance was Coach Mansur Abdullahi, Assistant Coach of the Nigerian U-20 women’s team, the Falconets.

*Commitment to Sports Development*

Delivering his address, the chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, commended the academy for its dedication to grassroots football development. A seasoned football administrator, Fresh has served six terms as a member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Technical and Development Committee and chaired multiple committees within the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). He lauded the academy’s rapid growth and praised its founder for his unwavering commitment to youth empowerment through sports. Fresh further pledged his support for the academy’s continued development.

His Royal Highness, Alhaji Musa Ijah, the Hakimi of Kwamba, expressed his delight at the academy’s investment in local sports infrastructure. He described the project as a timely and commendable initiative within his domain and encouraged young players to seize the opportunity to advance their football careers. The royal father also assured the academy of the traditional institution’s support in fostering sports development in the region.

In his welcome address, Chief Engr. Mojeed Adesina, the Founder and President of Jawab Sports Academy, expressed his gratitude to the dignitaries for celebrating the academy’s latest achievement. A renowned sports administrator and philanthropist, Adesina reaffirmed his commitment to expanding sports infrastructure and providing an enabling environment for young talents to thrive.

Jawab Sports Academy competes in the Nationwide League One (NLO) and is recognized for its innovative approach to talent development. Under the leadership of Head Coach Kenny Owojori, who also serves as leader of the AMAC Football Coaches Association, the academy integrates sports training with digital skills, positioning itself as a unique hub for football excellence.

With the inauguration of the players’ hostel, Jawab Sports Academy continues to strengthen its commitment to nurturing young talents and contributing to the growth of Nigerian football.
