Rep Ereyitomi mourns transition of Elder statesman, Nationalist, Pa. E.K Clark

The Member Representing Warri Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Honourable Chief Dr. Thomas Ereyitomi has expressed deep condolence to the family of Elder statesmen and Nationalist, Pa. Edwin Clark who transited this world at age 97.
Rep Ereyitomi in his condolence terse to the family and members of Bekederemo dynasty said late Chief Edwin Clark was a great voice to the people of the Niger Delta and Nigeria, with a strong resilient determination in speaking truth to power irrespective of who’s involved.
Chief Ereyitomi, while mourning the transition of Pa. Clark extolled him saying he was instrumental to the establishment of University of Benin one of the citadel of higher learning in Mid-west now Edo and Delta States.
According to the Warri Federal lawmaker, Chief Clark was not just an elder statesman; he was a towering pillar in the struggle for justice, equity, and good governance in Nigeria. His relentless advocacy for the rights of the Niger Delta people, his unwavering stance on resource control, and his fearless voice against oppression made him a beacon of hope for generations.
“He was an institution, a custodian of truth, and a defender of the downtrodden, whose impact will remain indelible in Nigerian history”. Dr. Ereyitomi added.
