The Chairman of the newly inaugurated Advisory Committee of the Oloduwa Host Community Development Trust (HCDT), Hon. Segun Ebiwei, has assured that he will deliver on the mandate graciously entrusted to him and other members of the Advisory Committee according to the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).
Hon. Ebiwei gave this assurance Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the former Egbema Gbaramatu Development Foundation (ECDF) office in Effurun, Delta State, during the formal inauguration ceremony of the Advisory Committee.
He stated: “I will work with all sense of humility and dedication in delivering the gains of oil exploration activities to the various communities in accordance with the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) made by the federal government of Nigeria.”
Hon. Ebiwei appreciated leaders from the Oloduwa HCDT for their support even as he solicited their unwavering support to deliver.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of Oloduwa HCDT, Chief David Seikiri Ugedi, and the Management Committee Chairman, Mr. Paul Toruwei, charged the members of the Advisory Committee to focus on sustainable development, ensure peaceful coexistence, and address the environmental and social impacts of petroleum operations according to the Petroleum Industry Act.
Chief Ugedi and Mr. Toruwei further urged the Advisory Committee members to live up to expectations, as the Oloduwa HCDT is not solely about financial allocations but rather about securing the future of the Oloduwa descendants and building a legacy of prosperity, sustainability, and peace for future generations to come.
BOT chairman Chief Ugedi stressed that the aims and objectives of the Oloduwa HCDT, which focus on transparency, integrity, and full compliance with the rules and regulations of the body, need to be adhered to by the members in order to have a successful service to the people.
