Guwor identifies Nativity as unifying event, celebrates with Itsekiri in RCCG

The member representing Warri south-West in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Emomotimi Guwor identifies Nativity Sunday service as a unifying factor among the various ethnic groups in the state and in Nigeria.

Hon. Guwor made this assertion Sunday July 10 during the celebration of Itsekiri Nativity Sunday Service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Redemption Hall Mega Parish Headquarters in Warri, Delta State, the lawmaker described the event as an opportunity to showcase the reach cultural heritage of the Itsekiri people to the World.

He advised others to embrace each other and celebrate with their brethren just as he has identified with his Itsekiri brothers and sisters whom he also represent in the State Assembly in his constituency, showing love and support to the group in body of Christ.

Hon. Guwor who is also a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Redemption Hall Mega Parish Delta Province 5 Headquarters, said he has been identifying with other groups in the church, assuring that he will continually support to see to the glory of God the display of various ethnic groups Nativity Sunday celebrations in the church.

Sallah: Ereyitomi tasks Muslims on promotion of harmonious relationship in Nigeria

The Member Representing Warri Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Chief Dr. Thomas Ereyitomi JP has tasked Muslims faithful in Warri federal constituency, Delta state and Nigeria to at large to engage in things that will always promote harmonious relationship among their neighbours wherever they find themselves.

Chief Ereyitomi gave the charge weekend during this year’s Eid-el-Kabir Sallah celebration by Muslims in the three Warri LGAs, he noted that some of the main essence of the event include to multiply good deeds by bringing happiness and pleasure to the hearts of other Muslims, by helping and supporting the poor, needy and by getting involved in pastimes which emphasize the strong and serious Islamic believe.

The Warri federal lawmaker urged Muslims to sustain their prayers for peace and security in Nigeria in order to enjoy conducive and meaningful Democratic development in the country.

Dr. Ereyitomi assured the Islamic faithful in Warri South, Warri North and Warri South-West of his dedicated support in his representation by attracting empowerment, security, human capital development among others involving the Muslims brothers and sisters in Warri federal constituency every time opportunities comes.

He promised to increase his support for them going forward, while also appealing for their continuous cooperation in the electoral programs and process, Rep Ereyitomi expressed delight with Muslims in Warri federal constituency, he commended them for their peaceful coexistence with their host communities, assuring that they will continually get more from the Warri federal constituency.

Hon. Ereyitomi on behalf of Warri Federal Constituency, congratulated all Muslims and wished them a happy Eid al-Adha celebration.

Massive explosion rocks Matrix Energy in Delta as Gas storage  facility  burns 

Massive explosion hits Matrix Energy Depot in Ifie, Warri, Delta State as the company’s gas storage facility burns this evening Friday July 8, 2022.

The explosion which occurred in the evening around 8pm throwing residents, workers of Matrix Energy and others others doing business in the area into serious panic due to the fire inferno.

Some workers who was able to escape with bare foot at Ekpan Express junction off NPA expressway, while narrating their experience described the fire and explosion at the Gas tank facility as huge loose and unfortunate, they expressed worry that after working Monday to Friday about to share their payment then the explosion struck the facility making them to escape for their lives first before remembering their pay.

Matrix Energy Group recently was awarded oil mining field as among the first indigenous Oil and Gas giant and largest in Delta.

However the fire disaster have been curtailed by teams of fire services including Delta State Fire Service in Warri went to rescue,  cause of the gas explosion at the Matrix Energy Tank farm storage facility is not yet known as at the time filing this report .

Ereyitomi congratulates Governor Okowa on his 63 birthday

The member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and Deputy Chairman House Committee on Niger Delta Development, NDDC, Hon. Chief Dr. Thomas Ereyitomi has congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as he marks his 63 birthday.

Chief Ereyitomi in his congratulatory message to the Executive Governor of Delta Friday July 8, hails his consistency in championing development of the state through his administration’s SMART agenda spreading even development across Delta State, lifting numerous Deltans and its residents out of poverty through various skills acquisition programs.

Dr. Ereyitomi described the celebration of Dr. Okowa as triple, noting that as Governor of Delta State, PDP Vice Presidential Candidate and Chairman South South Governors Forum it is divinely arranged by God for better successes to come ahead, he appreciated God for the feat granted the Governor for Delta progress.

The Warri Federal lawmaker on behalf of his Warri federal constituents congratulated Governor Okowa, saying they are proud of him, he wished him well as he celebrates his born day.

Trump, World Leaders Pay Tribute To Abe Shinzo, Describe his Death As Bad News

following the confirmation of the assignation of Shinzo Abe, 67, former Prime minister of Japan World leaders have expressed their pains over the incident describing it as bad news.

The former US President of United States of America, USA, Donald Trump has posted on his own social media platform to say that the death of Shinzo Abe was “really bad news for the world”. Trump added:

He was assassinated. His killer was captured and will hopefully be dealt with swiftly and harshly. Few people know what a great man and leader Shinzo Abe was, but history will teach them and be kind. The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council congratulates the Governor of Delta State, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as he celebrates his 63rd birth anniversary.

We feel proud to identify with His Excellency the Governor on a day like this, being a day that God brought him as a bundle of joy into this world to impact humanity with his sterling leadership qualities.

It is on record that the Governor has had excellent lifestyle from his formative stages of life to this present day where his popularity speaks volume as the cynosure of all eyes.

We are indeed very proud of the Governor for the huge gains he has brought into leadership as an astute administrator, thereby maximising the potentials of managing resources for the benefit of all.

Oborevwori Calls For Calm Over Federal High Court Judgement

*Says No Cause For Alarm, To Appeal Judgement

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and State PDP Governorship Candidate, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has called on all his supporters to remain calm over the Judgement of the Federal High Court, Abuja in respect of the Wednesday, May 25th Primaries he won.

Today, Thursday, July 7th, 2022, a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja passed a judgement against the candidacy of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for the 2023 gubernatorial elections in Delta State.

In a Press Statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Dennis Otu, the Speaker called on all his supporters and indeed all Deltans to remain calm and steadfast in the face of the Judgement, saying that there was no cause for alarm.

According to the Statement; “I wish to appeal to all my supporters, political associates and well wishers to remain calm and law abiding over the Judgement of the Federal Court. There is no need to panic, all is well. We will certainly appeal the Judgement and so let us maintain the peace as all hope is not lost. All is well and it will end in praise to the Glory of God Almighty.

“The courts have always been part of our democratic experience ,and our confidence in the judiciary which is the last hope of the common man is unwaivering. So , as we embark on the appeal process, our supporters and indeed Deltans should kindly note and be rest assured that Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orhowedor Oborevwori remains the Gubernatorial Flag Bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State for the 2023 general Elections. The Sherrification Movement is well and alive and, by God’s grace, we shall overcome”, he added.

“Once again, I want to appreciate God Almighty for giving us victory at all times, and we will certainly not stop praying for more victories because Delta State is in God’s hands and be reassured that He will take us to the Promised Land at the end of the day. DSP Omo-Agege flags -off construction of 200 bed space hostels, 12 Classrooms block, other projects at Obinomba

*Promises  to upgrade infrastructures at Alma-Mater in Delta

The Deputy President of the Senate Federal Republic of Nigeria, DSP, Ovie Omo-Agege has flagged-off the construction of 200 bed space hostels, a storey building block to contain 12 classrooms  as well as rehabilitation of the existing dining Hall at St. George’s Grammar school Obinomba., Ukwuani LGA, Delta State.

This much was done Tuesday July 5, 2022 by the Senator Representing Delta Central at the Senate, His Excellency Senator Omo-Agege at his Alma Mater, he also performed the foundation laying block for the construction and equipping of an E-Library as well as an Administrative Block for the college through a federal government intervention.

While performing the groundbreaking ceremony of the five projects, Senator Omo-Agege noted that the projects will significantly improve the infrastructure and and as well enhance teaching and learning in St. George’s Grammar School, Obinomba, Delta State.

According to the Deputy Senate President, he said thus ” Our children deserve to study and learn in comfortable classrooms and live in a safe, secure and conducive environment across Delta State. This is what we owe our children and we shall replicate same across the State when, by the grace of God, I become your Governor in 2023.”

How ever the projects being constructed by Senator Omo-Agege was in fulfilment of his promise made to his Alma-Mater, St. George’s Grammar School Obinomba, on 20th November 2021, where he promised to facilitate five projects to the school which includes, the construction and equipping of an E-Library, Administrative Block for the college through a federal government intervention, a storey building containing 12 classrooms block, Rehabilitation of the Existing Dinning Hall/Reflector, 100 bed space for Male Hostel and 100 bed space for Female hostel respectively.

Obarisi Omo-Agege praised God for helping him to realised the promise to his Alma Mater, he charged contractors handling the various projects to complete them on time and according to specification, he implored the contractors to use high quality materials and use the opportunity given them to engage the people in the area.

Senator Omo-Agege was accompanied by the site engineer, Principal of the college, Reverend Fathers, some Ukwuani notable personalities, they described the projects as important milestone by the efforts of the old boys and girls to provide a conducive atmosphere for learning in the school.

The Large turn out of people who witnessed the event commended the Deputy Senate President, Omo-Agege for the human development projects going on in the school, they assured him of mobilising support for him in his ambition going forward.

Enugu PDP guber zoning: Nkanu People’s Assembly honours Gov. Ugwuanyi

The  people of Nkanu land under the auspices of Nkanu People’s Assembly, on Tuesday, honoured Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State with the prestigious award of “Ekwueme of Nkanu land” in recognition of his worthy performance in office in spite of the nation’s economic challenges as well as his adherence to the established rotational zoning arrangement of the governorship position among the three senatorial districts of the state.

Presenting the award to Gov. Ugwuanyi at the Government House, Enugu, the National Secretary General of Nkanu People’s Assembly, Prof. Osita Nnamani Ogbu, on behalf of the President General, HRH Igwe Ezeudo Abel Nwobodo and other members of the group, told Gov. Ugwuanyi that “posterity will recognize the good works you are doing in Enugu State”.

Members of Nkanu People’s Assembly thanked Gov. Ugwuanyi for the emergence of their illustrious son, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State.

They said that they are highly delighted that the governor in spite of “so much pressure”, kept faith with the established rotational zoning of the governorship position “that after his tenure it will go to Nkanu land”.

According to Prof. Ogbu, “This is why Nkanu People’s Assembly is giving you the award and we are calling you the Ekwueme of Nkanu land. We love you today, we love you tomorrow and we will continue to love you.”

Describing Gov. Ugwuanyi as “the most security conscious governor in Nigeria and the greatest friend of the people”, Prof. Ogbu applauded the governor for his peace initiative, humility, open door policy and commitment to participatory democracy.

The group, therefore, urged Gov. Ugwuanyi to remain focused and committed, expressing confidence that the governor, through his political sagacity, will accomplish all the good works he has started.
