*urges Buhari to  appoint Itsekiri as  NDDC MD

An Itsekiri leader and prominent Chief in Warri Kingdom, Chief Rita Lori Ogbebor has alleged that some politicians are working hard in order to divert money meant for the development of the Niger Delta for their campaigns in the forthcoming 2023 general polls.

Chief Rita Lori Ogbebor who is also the Igba of Warri Kingdom frowned at politicians from the Niger Delta whose selfish interest is not making the the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC Board inauguration to follow due process of the law setting it up.

She called on President Buhari to do the needful by following the NDDC act that talks about rotation and based on the highest state and production quantum which according to her it is the turn of her Itsekiri ethnic group to be appointed as Managing Director of the next Board to be appointed, adding that for fairness, justice and peace in the Niger Delta as well as continuous flow of crude oil for the economy of Nigeria.

While fielding questions from newsmen on AriseTv weekend the Igba of Warri Kingdom, Chief Chief Rita Lori Ogbebor hailed the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III , describing him as the only hope of the Itsekiri nation, she also prayed for the Olu as he celebrates his first coronation beginning August 17 to climax August 21 in Warri.
