An environmental activist and former chairman of Kokodiagbene Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West LGA, Delta State, Amb. Chief Sheriff Mulade says Amaseikumor is one of the most celebrated cultural festivals across the Niger Delta and Nigeria.
Amb. Chief Mulade, who is also the Ibe-Serimowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, stated this on Friday, April 25, during the grand finale of the week-long festival held at Oporoza Town, the traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Delta State. He disclosed that the festival is for unity and peaceful coexistence among the Gbaramatu people, Ijaw nation, and other diverse people in Nigeria.
He added that the Amaseikumor festival signifies the opening of doors for wealth, love, and development to Gbaramatu Kingdom, well-wishers, and lovers of good living among the people.
Chief Mulade posited that Amaseikumor does not allow or give room to oppression from anyone, no matter who they are or where they come from, against the people and that Amaseikumor will fight where there’s perceived injustice and oppression.
