A famous Journalist, Comrade Akpovoke Otiti has called on Delta Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to, as a matter of urgency to  embark on a seven-Rs initiative to save the state from recycling old politicians who have been in power since the time of former governor Ibori.

Describing the seven Rs as reconciliation, recalibration, rebirth, re-education, re-industrialisation, re-construction and rebranding of the State , he plead with the Governor not to fill his cabinet with recycled, corrupt political jobbers.

Otiti also urged  Oborevwori not to let his predecessor choose the secretary to the state government SSG for him, because that is the government engine room  and that he should remove  recycled politicians from his choice of principal office holders.

“Those corrupt, recycled characters lobbying to serve have little or nothing to offer Delta State, Many have been in power since 1999, and they have made Delta became one of the poverty state under their watch; they don’t deserve a second chance.”

He also called on him to prioritise meritocracy. Otiti said the outcome of such decision will be tragic and wouldn’t want Oborevwori to go the same route.

Otiti called for the abolition of “recycling Cabal,” which he says is unknown to the constitution. “The cabals engineered the suffering of Deltans and if these cabals are recycled in his government, meaning there won’t be MORE agenda for Deltans .

GEJ’s cabal made him clueless. PMB’s cabal held him hostage in the Villa according to PMB’s wife. Allowing your closest political and business associates, the Vice President or your wife or son or daughter to form a new cabal is like signing an irrevocable MoU with failure, because the ‘cabal’ is not on record for positive contributions. says Otiti.
