Bayelsa: We’re not waterside people, we’re water front people- Says Douye Diri
The Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri says the people of Bayelsa State and people living along the water ways are not waterside people rather water front people.
Governor Diri stated that as erroneously referred to the people living in water front area in Nigeria as waterside people, noting that people with water front are heavily paid in order to acquire it as it is more economical assets to the economy of the State and country.
He called for more dues of resources accrued to the state in order to develop and advance the coastal states especially Bayelsa State with multiple rivers surrendered by the Atlantic Ocean.
