Heavy traffic jam is being experienced now at Effurun Roundabout in Uvwie LGA, Delta State which is the gateway to Warri the oil city and commercial nerve centre of the state.
The traffic block is however caused as a result of consistent failed portions of the Roundabout which has been given half attention by the previous administration of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, whereby intervention in some part of the Effurun Roundabout were awarded while other portions of the road leading to Sapele Road and DSC were left out.
Heavy duty vehicles & other cars trapped at the traffic holdup
As at 4:39pm Monday June 12 there was huge gridlock of vehicular and human movement at the route.
Our investigation revealed that the traffic situation could have been worst if not the increment of pump price of petroleum product and fuel subsidy removal recently done President Bola Tinubu.
Commuters, motorists and other stakeholders are urging Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to as matter of urgency fix the ever busy carriage way serving as entrance into the two very important cities Effurun, Warri and other adjoining commercial areas in order to have free flow of traffic and boost to commercial activities.
