Heartland FC congratulate new Imo SWAN Executive

 

Heartland FC has sent a congratulatory message to the newly elected Executive member of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Imo Chapter.

Imo SWAN had on Saturday conducted their election at the Imo FA Office, Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri with Cosmos Chukwuemeka emerging as Chairman while Tunde Liadi and Kingsley Anosike came in as Secretary and Welfare Secretary respectively.

The General Manager of Heartland FC, Promise Nwachukwu who spoke on behalf of the club said he was delighted the election went smoothly without any rancour and he nonetheless tasked Imo SWAN to work as one and not give room for division.

He noted that the former Chairman, Everest Ezihe maintained a cordial relationship with Heartland FC and he extends same olive branch to the newly elected chairman, Cosmos Chukwuemeka who was a former Media Officer of the club.

Nwachukwu says Imo SWAN should continue to take the front row in the dissemination of sports in the state especially positive reports about Heartland FC.

“We are happy to hear that Imo SWAN had successfully conducted their Association election and another person has emerged as the Chairman in the person of Cosmos Chukwuemeka whom we know too well. We know the Association is in a good hand,” Nwachukwu said.

“We just want to remind Imo SWAN that they must remain one indivisible. If they are united, they can achieve a lot. I want them to continue to play their role well. I wish the new Executive a good stint in office.”

Nwachukwu also used the medium to inform Imo people to come and support Heartland FC ahead of this weekend league tie with Gombe United at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri. He added that Imo SWAN should be at the forefront of the informing Imo people about the game and why they should throng the Dan Anyiam Stadium this weekend.

He said Heartland FC players , coaches and other officials have prepared very well for the remaining games of the season and are eager to prosecute them with all seriousness.
