Kaduna: Gov. Sani Launches subsidized tricycles, electric motor cycles transportation scheme
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has launched a transportation loan scheme to provide state workers with subsidized tricycles and electric motorcycles.
The initiative, inaugurated by Deputy Governor Hadiza Balarabe at Murtala Square, allows employees to acquire these vehicles through salary-deducted loans, making repayment easier.
The program is a collaboration between the Kaduna State Government, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Paynacle Digital Services Limited, and Optimus Bank. It aims to improve worker mobility, reduce transportation costs, and promote eco-friendly alternatives. Charging stations and service centers will be set up across the state’s three senatorial districts to support sustainability.
