New Dawn As YSFON gets new Executives In Ondo state
The Need for professionals to help discover talents and nurture from grassroots has again been emphasized .
This formed parts of deliveries of relevant sports stakeholders at the inauguration of the Ondo state executives of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria, YSFON.
National secretary of the sport body Patrick Okpavuerhe in his address thanked the government of Ondo state in helping various sports associations in discovering and developing talents , Urging the government of Ondo state to do more with the support of professionals.
” It’s indeed an honor to inaugurate Ondo state executives of YSFON, I’m glad that their tenure will bring rapid development to sports at all levels in the state ”
He said Ondo state was among the first four states in Nigeria that started and developed Women football in Nigeria and shouldn’t be lacking in that area now .
He advised other relevant stakeholders present at the inauguration to ensure a rapid development of sports in the state .
Ondo state Governor , Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa , who was represented by youths and sports Commissioner in Ondo state , Hon Saka Yusuf Ogunleye thanked the national body for their kind gesture and compliments on various developmental programs in sports.
He assured them of government support where necessary saying sports development at all levels is a top priority.
” We all know that asides the fact that sports unites everyone, it is also a business and we must all see it as one and give our best in ensuring it thrives in our state ”
Saka Yusuf Ogunleye congratulated the newly inaugurated members saying it is a call to serve .
” Please , ensure you are guided by stipulated laws , I believe you will succeed, just give your best always and help develop sports together ”
Ambassador, Henry Abiodun in his address describes YSFON as the foundation of many great athletes today saying time has come for Ondo state to breathe fresh air.
The General manager , Ondo state sports council, Mr Fagite assured the newly inaugurated members of adequate support at all times .
” We are partners in progress , My door is wide open , be free to come in and make your requests ”
The newly inaugurated executive members are Yomi Ogunlade, Chairman , Tayo Onilude Vice Chairman, Michael Akintunde, Secretary, Kayode Julius, Organizing secretary, Tony Joy , Welfare Officer.
