**As City Child Foundation School celebrates 11 Biennial Inter-House Competition

 

**Nze Onuoha, Engr. Ossai assure of more support

The Founder and Proprietress of City Child Foundation School, Ekpan in Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State, Amb. Dr. Rose Obi says sports teaches the people valuable lessons, discipline, perseverance and teamwork as it help develop the physical and mental wellbeing of students

Dr. Mrs. Obi made this declaration recently during City Child Foundation School Inter-House sport competition held at the Ekpan Police station Field in Ekpan near Warri.

She said the 11 Biennial Inter-House sports Competition of the school marks its existence for almost 22 years and the the citadel of learning does their interhouse sports activities in every two years, hence the activities being witnessed in the interhouse sports.

Patrons of DBS Sports Club, Warri, Nze Francis Onuorah who’s also Special Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State promised to donate more trophies to support the school in its area of sport competition to promote physical activities of students keeping fit.

While making further support Engr. Patrick Ossai announced monetary donation in support of the school , expressing satisfaction to encouraging exercise and extra curriculum activities to build mental fitness of students.

Nze Onuorah, Engr. Ossai and other members of DBS Sports Club as well as parents and guardians both respectively commended Dr. Mrs. Obi, her teachers and staff for inculcating knowledge to the future ones

Dr. Mrs. Obi in her remarks which read thus: “As we gather here today, I am reminded of the importance of sports in our lives. , and they provide a platform for us to build friendships, create memories, and have fun.

“It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to the 11th Biennial Interhouse Sports Competition of City Child Foundation School. Today marks a significant milestone in our school’s calendar, as we gather to celebrate teamwork, sportsmanship, and friendly competition.

“First and foremost, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed guests, parents, and well-wishers who have taken time off their busy schedules to join us today. Your presence is a testament to your support and commitment to our school’s mission.

“To our dear students, I am proud of each and every one of you. Your enthusiasm, energy, and dedication to your respective houses are truly inspiring. Today, you will have the opportunity to showcase your talents, skills, and teamwork. Remember, winning is not just about coming first, but about participating, learning, and having fun.

“To our teachers and coaches, I commend your tireless efforts in preparing our students for this competition. Your guidance, mentorship, and encouragement have been invaluable, and I am grateful for your commitment to our school.

“As we begin this competition, I would like to remind you all of our school’s motto: “Ruling the waves.” Today, we will see this motto come alive as our students compete, learn, and grow together.

“Before I conclude, I would like to declare the 11th Biennial Interhouse Sports Competition of City Child Foundation School officially open! May the best house win, and may we all have a wonderful time celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork”.
