**Says IEAI Program aims at ensuring quality healthcare access by residents

.The Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the Delta State Contributory Health Commission, DSCHC, Olorogun Dr. Isaac O. Akpoveta has hailed the Chairman of the Governing Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Chief John Nani for enrolling over 240 indigent Urhobo women into the Delta State Health Insurance Scheme in the ongoing Indigent Enrollee Adoption Initiative of the commission.

Dr. Akpoveta, while delivering his address at the flag-off of the registration of the 240 Urhobo women, described it as a truly momentous occasion, one that highlights the power of compassion and generosity in transforming the lives of those in need.

He expressed joy at the remarkable generosity and compassion of Chief John Nani, whom he said is a great philanthropist and has set a shining example for all to follow by purchasing health insurance premiums for 240 vulnerable individuals from the 24 Kingdoms of Urhobo Nation.

Chief Nani’s gesture is in response to the clarion call made by the Director-General of DSCHC, Olorogun Dr. Isaac Akpoveta to all people of goodwill to key into the Indigent Enrollee Adoption Initiative, IEAI, of the commission. According to the DG it is not just an act of charity; it’s a demonstration of profound empathy and a tangible commitment to the well-being of the people.

 Areanewsng.com can authoritatively report that the Indigent Enrollee Adoption Initiative, pioneered by Olorogun Dr. Isaac Akpoveta, the Director General of Delta State Contributory Health Commission, aims to ensure that every resident of Delta State has access to quality healthcare.

He noted that with N7000, each resident will have access to essential quality healthcare. He also added that the enrolment statistics of the scheme stands over two million insured, ” this figure is a testament to the trust and confidence that the people of Delta state have placed in our commission and its programs”. Dr. Akpoveta stated.

The sponsor, Chief Nani said he decided to enrol the women into the Delta State Contributory Health Scheme in order for the Urhobo women to enjoy quality healthcare. “I decided to sponsor 10 women each across the 24 kingdoms of Urhobo clans making it total of 240 women”.

Chief Nani was also given an award of Health Insurance Ambassador for the commission as well as a certificate of commendation by the UPU Women wing at the event.
