NNL Super 8 League: Winners, Participating teams to go home with Cash Prizes Board Chair, Aluo assures

Chairman, Board of Nigeria National League NNL, Mr George Aluo has assured that the winners of the NNL super 8 will go home with prize money.

Aluo made this disclosure while featuring on the question and answer session popularly known as Super Interview on WhatsApp platform Sports World on Monday.

The journalist turns Administrator noted that the end has come to the era of Charity league in the Most Important League. He said: “Unlike last season where the winners of Super 8 went home with nothing, this year the winners will definitely goe home with prize money”.

He added that, all the participating teams will go home with something.

Imo born veteran journalist cum administrator, while calling on investors to partner with the league , he opined that the league body have done and achieved something unprecedented in the area of cash reward to the outstanding clubs.

He however affirmed that a manufacturer ball company called Proster donated 400 balls, which the league body had distributed it to all the clubs in NNL with 10 balls each.

” But in the area of sponsorship, we have achieved a lot in that direction, because a company Proster donated, give us 400 balls, which we have distributed to all the clubs in NNL” He noted.

He reiterated that, each clubs in NNL will get 10 balls, which was a step in the right direction in terms of sponsorship, noting that all clubs were given kudos to the ball which is the official balls of second tier league.

” So we have given, each club in NNL 10 balls and then that is a step in the right direction, and the clubs have all given kudos to that and the ball is now the official balls of the NNL”

He noted that, the league is working assiduously for all clubs that will be participating in super 8 to get money and the winners will pocket prize money, assuring that the league will not disappoint in this initiative.

” And like I said during the Super 8, definitely all the participating teams would get money for participating in the league and the winners will pocket a prize money. The league is working it out so that we are not going to disappoint in this direction”.

Mr George Aluo affirmed that this year will be different as the league body has striked a deal with an insurance company who have already committed a sum of five million naira to the Super 8, assuring that the league body will get more sponsors to be part of the Super 8.

” Like I said last year in Asaba during super 8, none of the clubs got anything to participate, Heartland who eventually won it only went home with a trophy, but this year is going to be different, And already we have an insurance company that has committed a sum of five million naira to that direction”.
