Prayers, Fasting Our Strengths, Promotion to the NPFL Our Priority –  Says Ilupeju

The General Manager of Crown Football Club Ogbomoso, Mr Olamide Olusanjo Ilupeju popularly known as Ortega has assured fans and supporters of club’s ambition of promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Ilupeju gave the assurance while featuring on Royal FM 95.1, Yoruba sports program “Lori Papa” anchor by Michael Odetunde Odesports on Wednesday, February 17 , 2025.

He emphasized on the club’s efforts of securing promotion to the NPFL, stressing that it could be achieved through hard work, resilience, determination and team work.

Ilupeju said that the team always go on fasting and prayers ahead every match which has been their strength in the league.

He appreciated the Executive Governor of Oyo state, Engr. Seyi Makinde for his unwavering support to the team.

Ilupeju also appreciated the state commissioner for sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke for her tremendous support and contributions to the team.

” I thank the commissioner for her support as She has contributed immensely to the team’s success”

He lauded the, NNL Chairman, Mr George Aluo for changing the narrative of the league to achieving it set goals as teams are now winning on the road.

The General Manager, commended the Head coach of the club, Coach Deji Ayeni and his backroom staff for their tremendous efforts .

He also hailed the management and staff for their patience and support.

The General Manager called for fans and supporters to believing in God as the team is working assiduously towards their promotion to the apex league as He appealed to the fans to be patient any time the results doesn’t go in the team’s favour most especially at home.

“I want to call for the fans and supporters to believe in God that team will achieve its aims of promotion to the NPFL”
he noted.

The Ajilete Warriors are second on the log with 18 points from nine games one point adrift Warri Wolves in the Southern Conference A of the Nigeria National League (NNL) 2024/25.

Deji Ayeni’s side will take on Beyond Limits in the match day 10 fixtures scheduled for March 1, 2025 at the Soun Township stadium, Ogbomoso, Oyo state.
